After last year’s cancellation due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, the 26th annual Clamfest in Highlands is slated to happen August 6-8. It’s arguably the biggest event held in Highlands traditionally and will feature food, fun, rides, entertainment and much more. It’s presented by the Highlands Business Partnership, which continues to be one of the more active local organizations in Monmouth County when it comes to organizing events.
Food and Music lovers will fill the streets at the Highlands Business Partnership’s 26th Annual Clam Fest from August 6th to August 8th at Huddy Park on Bay & Waterwitch Avenues. The famous Clam Fest is a three-day spectacular event featuring a seafood court serving the freshest food from many local vendors. Other festival favorites include the Lions Club Funnel Cakes, and the Highlands Fire Department BBQ tent. Admission and parking is free, and the event takes place rain or shine.
The 26th Annual Clam Fest will feature a Beer, Wine and Sangria Garden on the corner of Waterwitch and Bay Avenues. Specialty vendors will line the street with a variety of items.
Clam Fest hours are 6:00 – 11:00PM on Friday, August 6th, with entertainment by Michael Patrick’s Ring of Fire, at 6:00 PM.
On Saturday, August 7th, the festival begins at noon, with classic rock favorites performed by Chris Turner and ClearStream at 1:00pm; finishing with Tim McLoone & the Shirleys, from 5:00 – 9:00PM.
The spectacular Clam Fest Fireworks Display will take place on Snug Harbor Beach on August 7th, 9PM. The fireworks display is produced by Serpico Pyrotechnics.
Clam Fest hours on Sunday, August 8th, are 12:00 – 8:00 PM. The Clam Fest’s world-class CLAM-SHUCKING COMPETITION kicks off at 2:00 PM sponsored by Lusty Lobster and has 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded to the fastest clam shuckers. Contest registration begins at Noon at the HBP tent. Carl Gentry Band will take the stage from 3:30 – 7:00PM
