Zoe’s Vintage Eatery is one of those hidden gems in Atlantic Highlands, which was first established back in 2006. The Hernandez family, who are the proud third owners of the well-known eatery, had a lifelong dream of owning a restaurant. So, on April 7, 2017, they made it happen. Owner Dolly Hernandez runs the front of house, while her husband takes care of everything behind the scenes. Not only has the menu remained the same as day one, but the family also supplements the menu by adding their daily specials and soups, which have a Latin flavor to them.
Walking into Zoe’s on Center Avenue will bring back memories of grandma’s house, hence the vintage name. If you want a drink, it’s served in a ball jar. The various iced tea of the day drinks that they offer are nice and refreshing, but the winning breakfast dish is the bliss – and name says it all! The signature dish at Zoe’s, though, is the Veggie Burger only because it’s not pulled out of the freezer, but made with fresh vegetables on a nice brioche bun, then served with a side of Tzatziki sauce and house made potato salad or coleslaw.
Come to Zoe’s and see for yourself what this hidden gem of Atlantic Highlands is all about!
