It’s become one of the hottest restaurants in Highlands ever since it opened not too long ago, so it made sense for us to swing by Proving Ground Waterfront Dining in Highlands to see what all the hoopla is all about.
Situated right by the water overlooking Sandy Hook, Proving Ground Waterfront Dining is located on 56 Shrewsbury Avenue in Highlands, NJ. The modern looking restaurant offers waterside views, a spacious dining room area, and valet parking for its patrons.
For this visit, we tried out the following menu items below.

- BREW BURGER – HOUSE BLEND OF PRIME BRISKET, SHORT RIB & CHUCK WITH OUR CHEESE SAUCE, GUINNESS ONIONS AND BREW BBQ SAUCE
- BUTTERMILK CHICKEN SANDWICH – CHICKEN THIGH (DARK MEAT), SRIRACHA MAYO, DILL PICKLES ,LETTUCE, TOMATO, ONION
