Sweep the Shore 2020 needs volunteers to help with beach sweeps

When summer’s over, our local beaches need all of our help, which is why you should know about Sweep the Shore 2020 — an event on September 12, where you can help take part in cleaning up beaches in between Sandy Hook and Sea Bright.

The Local Fix Foundation is taking a beach day! Join us as we Sweep the Shore clean and party when we’re done!

September is around the corner and we all know that means our beautiful beaches could use some TLC. The Local Fix Foundation is looking for volunteers for our first annual Sweep the Shore Beach Clean! We’ve partnered with some awesome local sponsors like Twin Lights Brewing to do our part to keep our ocean and beaches clean and healthy. We’ll have lots of supplies, you just need to bring your friends, family, and some elbow grease.

Here’s the plan: On the morning of September 12th, we’ll split into two groups, grab our supplies, and clean the beach until we meet in the middle. Group 1 will start at Lot A in Sandy Hook and Group 2 will start at Sea Bright Public. Please register for only ONE location. **DETAILS ABOUT REGISTRATION LOCATIONS WILL BE EMAILED TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT**

When the job is done, we’ll all head over to the Seafarer to celebrate!

Rain Date for this event is the same time frame on Sunday, September 13.

Want to help the shore even more? Know a friend who wants to help but can’t make the event? Head on over to our GoFundMe Page: www.gofundme.com/f/sweep-the-shore to make a donation or learn more about future events at www.thelocalfixfoundation.com !
