Pawsome turnout for the first Red Bank Dog Days of the summer [video]

Aided by the pleasant weather, word of mouth, and various activities, the first Red Bank Dog Days of the season drew a bigger turnout than last year’s single event. Hounds of all sizes and breeds came out in full force, along with their human companions of course, to soak in all of the fun that the event had to offer.

Locals and dog lovers converged over at Marine Park yesterday, June 24th, to check out Red Bank Dog Days – an event specifically geared for our four legged friends. It was the perfect opportunity for dogs to meet and make new friends, while also being treated to some fun activities as well. This year’s event brought in a brand new lure course and an obstacle course.

Supplementing the event, there were also several local dog rescues, pet vendors, non-profits, and animal hospital providing treats for the pups and information. And of course, live music was provided by The Wag.

We interviewed Red Bank mayor, Pasquale Menna, who spoke to us more about this year’s Red Bank Dog Days. Watch our entire interview with him in our video above, which also features some of the best highlights from the event. And don’t forget to check out our photo gallery below to see all the adorable pups!
