The busy summer months are behind us, which means that many of our beaches are in need of some proper cleanups. That’s where local non-profit group Clean Ocean Action comes to mind, as they invite participants and volunteers to join them in their fall beach sweeps on Saturday, October 21st.
“Join us this October for Clean Ocean Action’s Fall 2017 Beach Sweeps! Pre-registration is now open!
Since launching the region’s first Beach Sweeps program in 1985, over 115,800 COA volunteers have participated and removed over 5.9 million pieces of debris from New Jersey’s beaches and waterways. VisitCleanOceanAction.org and pre-register today!
*You will receive a confirmation email within two weeks of registering.”
If you’re curious about these beach sweeps, you can check out our video and photos from the beach sweeps that were held back in the spring. The fall beach sweeps will be held at various locations throughout the Jersey shore, so there’s probably going to be one that’ll be convenient for you to attend.
From the looks of it, these sweeps will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. If you’re interested in attending, please fill out the form in the link below.
