Registration opens up for Run The Hook 2021 to support local non-profit

Registration is now open for Run The Hook 2021, a 5K/10K race that’ll have participants running at Sandy Hook National Park on Sunday, September 12, all to support local non-profit Clean Action Ocean.

The 6th Annual Run The Hook is a 5K/10K race at Sandy Hook National Park, NJ in support of local non-profit Clean Ocean Action. A portion of proceeds from the race go directly to the organization so they can continue to work to improve the quality of our local bodies of water. The race is fittingly situated on a less than 1 mile wide peninsula surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and Sandy Hook Bay giving runners an opportunity to run in a truly unique and natural setting.

Run The Hook is proud to be a single-use plastic free event as part of our mission to rid the beaches and oceans of plastic litter and pollution. All runners receive a commemorative pint glass as they cross the finish line in conjunction with that message in addition to a t-shirt, closed course on Sandy Hook National Park, chip timed results, and an after party.

Bib Pickup will be on Saturday 9/11 at Roadrunner Sports in Shrewsbury, NJ from 3-6 PM.

Early bird registration for Run The Hook 2021 is available now until July 23 at 11:59 p.m. at $30 and $40 for 5K and 10K races respectively. It’ll be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sandy Hook Beach.
