Jersey Shore Chapter of Surfrider Foundation to organize Ideal Beach cleanup

Join the Jersey Shore Chapter of Surfrider Foundation as they are organizing the Ideal Beach Cleanup in Middletown on Saturday, February 6, where they’ll clean up the local beach with the help of volunteers. The organization has been pretty proactive around the area when it comes to organizing these beach cleanups.


The Jersey Shore Chapter of Surfrider Foundation is hosting a beach cleanup in Middletown, NJ on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

To maintain social distancing, there will be two clean-up shifts, limited to 20 people each: 10:00 am -12:00 noon and 12:30 pm-2:30 pm.

In addition, we need your name, email, phone number, and age to count heads and keep everyone safe.

Meet at the parking lot @ the corner of Bayside Parkway & Ocean Avenue, Middletown, NJ at the start of your shift time.

At this clean up we are asking for food or monetary donations to Fulfill, the food bank of Monmouth & Ocean County. During this unprecedented time, Fulfill’s needs are extremely HIGH. Please click here to see a list of their most-needed items. Thank you in advance for your kindness.

This will be a socially distanced and masked event. Masks are MANDATORY, not OPTIONAL. If you do not feel well, please stay home. We strongly urge you to bring your own pair of reusable gloves, but a new pair of reusable gloves will be provided should you not have any available. Bags will be provided.

All trash picked up is to be recorded and categorized for Surfrider Foundation Beach Cleanup Database.


You can sign up now for one of two times to participate, which will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Ideal Beach in Middletown, NJ.
