Everyone was wondering whether or not it was going to happen, but it looks like the first Summer Flea Market of the season will be happening at The Historic Village at Allaire on Saturday, July 25.
ALLAIRE, NJ …The long-awaited flea markets at Allaire Village are finally opening. The first one this season will be Saturday, July 25 from 8 am to 2 pm with admission only $3 and children under 12 are free. This ticket also admits you to the Village itself where you can explore the General Store, Bakery and Pilsen Gourmet Food Truck on site. The variety of exhibitors allows visitors to hunt for a full range of great bargains from vintage treasures to bric-a-brac, books to artwork, handmade items to antiques, linens to toys,… and the list can go on and on. The Flea Markets are a special fund-raiser for Allaire Village Inc., the non-profit organization licensed to operate The Historic Village at Allaire.
Our delayed opening has been as a result of COVID 19. We have had to submit and modify our event operating plan that protects the staff, the vendors and, of course, the visitors. The following rules are in place and you are asked to follow them to continue New Jersey’s strong reduction of the virus:
- Customers must wear a mask
- Customers must use hand sanitizer after every transaction or handling of items
- Customers must practice Social Distancing (6” between all individuals)
- Customers are requested to allow the vendors to assist with purchases
- Please keep shopping parties small
- There will be a “one way” ONLY patron traffic flow
For everyone’s safety and security, vendor space is limited, parking is limited and the number of patrons allowed in at any given time is limited. If customers can remember to follow these rules Allaire Village will be able to continue their very popular flea markets for the rest of the season.New this year is a membership program offering everything from senior memberships to corporate memberships, many of them with free entry to events and facilities.
