Chocolate Carousel’s first ever 5Kake race last weekend was an impressive showing, featuring a race for runners, fun family events, live music, and much more! The best part about it, too, was that it was all done for a good cause — benefiting the non-profit Peace, Love, and Horses out of Atlantic Highlands.
The event started off with a 5K race through the Wall Township Municipal Complex, where runners raced through the park to complete the 5K run. Hundreds of runners spanning various ages participated in the race, which was an impressive outing given that Chocolate Carousel organized the entire thing.

In addition to the 5K race, there were other fun post-race events held through it — including a kid’s fun run, various vendors, free cupcakes, raffles, and a pie eating contest. The latter was especially entertaining for the folks that stayed after the event, just because the participants were seriously working hard to gobble up the pies to claim victory!
The event was no doubt a success, so we’re hoping that next year’s event will be even bigger. Given the turnout and the positive reaction from the participants, you can expect bigger and better things for the next one. In the meantime, check out all of the photos we captured from the event below!
