If you were hanging out anywhere near the Two River Theater on the night of August 26th, then you probably heard a lot of music coming from that area. That’s because attendees were there for “A Taste of the Blues” block party, which help celebrate the upcoming production of August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
We were there to check it out and cover it! The block party consisted of some fine comfort food provided by local restaurants, as well as some smooth blues music courtesy of Dean Shot and the Solid Senders featuring JB Lawson.
All of this was put together by Two River Theater to help kick off the upcoming production that’s slated to run there very soon. Don’t forget to check out our video coverage of the event above, in addition to some of the photos below!
