Red Bank west side tree lighting ceremony to be held at Johnny Jazz Park

Even though holiday and tree lighting in downtown Red Bank was a low key affair, something that was held last minute, the west side’s tree lighting event is shaping up to be a bigger draw because the news about it happening is being spread publicly. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced when it’s held on Friday, December 4, over by Johnny Jazz Park over on the west side of Red Bank.


To celebrate the holiday season safely and ensure compliance with gathering limits and social distancing, Red Bank’s Department of Parks and Recreation will be hosting the annual Tree Lighting on Facebook Live this year. Musical performances by local students will bring the holiday cheer and Mayor Menna, with help from the North Pole’s Red Bank office, will count down to the lighting. Join the festivities on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/RBParksandRecon Friday, December 4th, 6:00 p.m. (No in-person attendees will be permitted.)


If you wish to check out the festivities, it’ll start around 6:00 p.m. at Johnny Jazz Park on 187 Drs. James Parker Boulevard. The event will also be streamed live through the Red Bank Parks and Recreation’s Facebook page.
