The Clean Ocean Action Open is a surf contest being held in Long Branch

Clean Ocean Action has continually played a role in bringing awareness around water pollution in our local communities, so join them for The Clean Ocean Action Open 2020 — a surf contest that’ll be held on Sunday, September 27 in Long Branch, NJ.

COA is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the 2020 Open surf contest on Sunday, September 27th at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. After careful deliberation and approval from the county park service, it was decided that the event could be run in a manner that would not jeopardize the health and safety of any of our contestants, volunteers, staff and spectators. It has also been decided that the traditional After-Party will NOT be held as proper distancing protocol would not be sufficiently maintained. The Open is one of COA’s only annual fundraising events so the money raised from the contest is vital to the empowerment of the organization’s ocean conservation efforts.
Stay tuned for more details regarding registration and safety protocol. We are currently in need of additional sponsors, if your business is interested in supporting the event, please reach out to Programs@cleanoceanaction.org
We can’t wait to see you on the beach!

Details on the 2020 Open surf contest are light, but it’ll be hold over at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park on 221 Ocean Avenue in Long Branch, NJ. And don’t forget to check out our photos from their beach sweeps below — as well as the corresponding video above.
