Indie Street Film Festival returns to Red Bank for its third year in a row from July 25th to July 29th

The first two years brought in a lot of buzz and entertainment to Red Bank, so it’s no surprise that the highly successful Indie Street Festival will be making its return to Red Bank for a third year in a row!

Annual youth mural and community-driven events give a local feel to Red Bank’s budding international film festival.

RED BANK, New Jersey — June 6, 2018 —The Indie Street Film Festival (ISFF) will return to Red Bank, NJ from July 25th through the 29th, featuring independently produced narrative, documentary and animated films, panel discussions, Q&As with filmmakers, live music, and art exhibitions.  Once again, the festival will be sponsored by many local arts organizations and venues, helping to showcase Red Bank’s booming creative community to festival attendees from around the globe.  Two River Theater, Bow Tie Cinemas, Count Basie Theatre, Molly Pitcher Inn, Red Bank Middle School, Red Bank RiverCenter, and Flying Fish Brewery return as main sponsors; Detour Gallery and the anticipated local craft brewery Red Tank Brewing join ISFF’s growing roster of Garden State sponsors.

Filmmakers and industry pros have given the festival 5-star reviews over its first two years. When speaking about Red Bank and ISFF, David Edelstein, Chief Film Critic at NY Magazine, proclaimed, “My movie utopia is right here.”  Award-winning filmmaker Sloan Copeland gushed, “Indie Street Film Festival is a shining example of what film festivals should be.”  The growing buzz is indicative of ISFF’s anticipated growth and continued success in 2018.

Born out of Indie Street’s community-first mentality, ISFF’s annual youth mural project primes the community for the upcoming festival. This interactive art experience was designed by Indie Street Artistic Director Jay Webb “to not only beautify the town, but also to help local youth to contribute to their own town’s beauty and history, giving them confidence to believe they can create something big.”  Detour Gallery and Two River Theater will co-host the event, scheduled to be painted at 97 Broad St. on the weekend of July 13th.  Two River Theater teams up with ISFF for the third straight year, supporting the mural project and festival to further expand on their vision of community enrichment through the arts.  Detour Gallery hand picked NJ artist, Ron Haywood Jones, for the mural design and will be hosting the film festival opening night reception.  “Just like the team at ISFF, we at Detour are passionate about providing a platform for creative talent from all over the world while connecting local arts supporters…and having a lot of fun along the way.”

Films and festival events will be held across multiple locations in Red Bank, showcasing the area’s exceptional arts & entertainment venues as well as its vibrant, community hot-spots.
