Our coverage of Taste of Highlands 2018

It might’ve been misting out for most of the day on Saturday, June 23rd, but rain or shine, the Taste of Highlands food tasting event went on with plenty of participants in attendance, an assortment of light bites, and some refreshing drinks as well. Even better, it provided newcomers to the area an enticing look at the downtown business district of Highlands, NJ.

We stopped by many of the various local businesses that were taking part in this event, which was organized by the Highlands Business Partnership. They’re a 501-C3, New Jersey non-profit which exists to undertake, direct, manage, facilitate and/or oversee recreational, educational and cultural activities, events and programs intended to promote the public welfare; the civic, educational, historic, cultural and economic, well-being and vitality of community life within the Borough of Highlands, New Jersey.

From specialty brews, to some delicious seafood bites, there was plenty of food to taste. Even with the mist, the Highlands Business Partnership provided transportation to and from the many businesses taking part in it – allowing attendees to stay dry in the process. In the gallery below, you’ll find pictures we captured from the following locations.

  • Inlet Cafe
  • Andy’s Shore Bar
  • Il Lago
  • The Chubby Pickle
  • Bahrs Landing
  • Off the Hook
  • Hinlickity’s Ice Cream Parlor
