Do you have a passion for writing and storytelling? If so, local non-profit group Project Write Now is hosting an upcoming event, dubbed ‘CringeFest,’ which will be held on Thursday, February 22nd, over at The West Side Eatery.
What’s CringeFest? It’s when the adult writers of Project Write Now share their most embarrassing, intimate moments from their tween/teen years by reading their diaries, letters, and poems. Not only for our enjoyment but also for a good cause*. Think the Moth meets My So-Called Life.
We will laugh and we might cry, but we will definitely cringe! This special evening includes live music by Kül d’Sack (Chris Jannuzzi and Richard Morris), who will play the tunes you used to listen to when driving around in your parents’ station wagon.
When: Thursday, February 22, 7 p.m.
Where: West Side Eatery (formerly The Danish Cafe), 2 Bridge Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701
Cost: $26 (includes wine/beer; select menu items available for purchase)
*All proceeds benefit Project Write Now’s Bridge Ink @ The Studio, which provides real-life publishing experience for teens. Read more about Bridge Ink here: www.bridgeink.org.
