Detour Gallery’s next art exhibition will be featuring Robert Preston: Question Everything. Opening night festivities will be held on Thursday, February 8th.
For our next show, we are introducing a curious gentleman, Robert Preston. And by “curious,” I don’t mean strange or weird. Well, on second thought, all artists are a little weird in their own way. Not a bad thing… No, I mean intellectual curious, someone with a lot of questions and is eager for knowledge. And I sense several of these items are explored through the process of painting. Whether it is portraits of Cult Icons, imagery from the Vietnam war or translating press photography into oil paintings, they all are curious about how this world works. They will probably not give you the answer to the ultimate question, but perhaps they will induce new ideas, or lead to exciting topics worth discussing. After all, it is this who lead our lives forward.
The opening night reception will be held from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM over at Detour Gallery’s location on 24 Clay Street in Red Bank, NJ. The art exhibition will be running from February 8th to March 15th.
