Michael Callas is an American painter and former architectural student. With a passion for the arts, Michael left school to pursue painting full time. Influenced by the draftsmen like qualities of architectural renderings, Michael has applied mechanical techniques to his paintings. He has reinterpreted high-impact iconic images through his lightning rod approach to an appropriation that is both timeless and innovative.
The opening of the exhibition will happen on Thursday, January 4th, at 7:00 PM over at Detour Gallery’s location on 24 Clay Street in Red Bank, NJ.
