Red Bank in the Spotlight celebrated town’s award for “Best Downtown Arts District”

Earlier this year, Red Bank narrowly beat out Princeton in being proclaimed as the town with the “best downtown arts district” in the 2017 People’s Choice Awards.

To celebrate this achievement, Two River Theater, along with the Red Bank RiverCenter, Red Bank Visitors Center, Monmouth County Arts Council, and Count Basie Theatre, hosted a special event on Thursday, June 1st.

The occasion was used to bring more awareness to the importance of the arts in helping to maintain Red Bank’s status of being a destination to go to. Anyone in town knows exactly the kind of diversity Red Bank has to offer when it comes to the arts.

We were invited to the event, which featured live music, light bites, and inspirational speeches. Scroll through the photos below to see what happened at this event. And as always, we’re here to help tell Red Bank’s story through the power of photo and video.

Thanks to everyone who helped in making it 3 years in a row for Red Bank being awarded as the town with the “Best Downtown Arts District.”
