There were moments of sadness, joy, and remembrance during the Highlands Memorial Day Parade, which was held on Saturday, May 25th. Starting at Huddy Park and then proceeding all the way down to Veterans Memorial Day Park, the parade had no shortage of memorable moments.
From the local high school band playing a tune throughout the parade, to the many veterans and emergency personnel that walked the parade, all oif it was of course meant to pay tribute and remembrance to those who died while serving in the armed forces.

At the same time, though, it was an opportunity to give appreciation to the veterans that have served. One of the honorary veterans during the parade, 95 year old World War II veteran Tony Bucco, came out to also pay his respects to the fallen men and women that have served.
