After a wet morning, the 3rd annual Great Red Bank Egg Hunt was greeted to some parting clouds that gave way to some sunshine just a little before its official start time of 2:00 PM on April 20, 2019.
The favorable weather conditions contributed to an enormous turnout of kids, teenagers, and parents who were all eager to uncover some prized eggs. Presented by the Red Bank Business Alliance, an alliance of Red Bank business owners founded with the purpose of enhancing the vibrancy of Red Bank, organized the event that had participants going all throughout downtown Red Bank solving clues to find out the locations of the hidden eggs.
From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, there was an undeniable surge of people in town for the event, which was evident by the amount of people just walking around. Even with the rain earlier on in the day, it didn’t deter people from coming out and participating in it.
We spoke to Red Bank Business Alliance member and owner of A Time to Kiln Red Bank, Wendy Jones, who said, “I love the egg hunt because it really engages the business community, as well as residents of Red Bank and surrounding communities. It’s our way to give back to the residents and the people that support us all year.”
