A new name, same traditional dishes as before. Even though the familiar name still resides outside with the signage, Carlos O’Connor’s Mexican Cafe is now the Mariachi Tipico Restaurant – located on 31 Monmouth Street in Red Bank, NJ.
It’s been a long while since we’ve visited the location, but considering the new name, we thought it was time to check it out. For this latest visit, we tried out the following menu items below.
- Empanada – choice of chicken, ground beef, pork, or veggies and beans. Served w/a side of creamy chipotle.
- Taco Platter – your choice of 2 crispy or soft shell tacos filled w/chicken, beef, beans, or veggies, topped w/lettuce, toamato , olive, cheese, and rojo sauce.
- Taquito Dinner – seasoned chicken breasts wrapped in corn tortillas fried and smothered in Monterrey Jack.
