Highlands Curbside Kindness to help fill local food pantry

As many communities continue to do whatever they can to get through the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, Highlands is doing its part to help out with its new initiative — Highlands Curbside Kindness, a program that aims to fill its local food pantry.

Beginning today, Saturday, April 25th, participating Highlands businesses will have a marked plastic bin labeled with the Curbside Kindness program information.

Please, when placing an order for Curbside Pick-up, consider helping us fill the local Food Pantry by bringing a canned good or non-perishable food item to place in the bin. There is a designated HBP volunteer assigned to each establishment that will monitor and pick up the food. All collections will be delivered to the food pantry on a weekly basis.

We thank you for your consideration, so many members of the community are either waiting for unemployment payments or their furlough to end, people need food now more than ever. Again, thank you for your kindness.
