Kevin Smith’s return to Red Bank happened yesterday, May the fourth, as he was in town for a special signing event over at his comic shop in town – Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash.
Fans near and far converged to the comic book store in the early hours of the morning, subsequently getting the chance to see the local native and key holder to the town, Kevin “the nice guy” Smith. Just like last year’s event, the director, movie maker, and comic book guru stayed on throughout the afternoon meeting with fans.
What’s really remarkable each time he does these sort of meet and greet events is that he genuinely appreciates his fans. Not only were there picture opportunities with him, but he get the chance to hear stories from fans about how he has impacted their lives. It’s a humbling moment when you can see the raw feelings that come out from both fans and Smith during these moments.
