Red Bank currently claims quite a few bakeries, and despite having the famed Carlo’s Bakery shutter its doors last year, another one employing old techniques and traditions from Italy has recently opened up in the same location on 86 Broad Street.
Alfonso’s Pastry Shoppe is now officially open for business in Red Bank, boasting an enormous space where you can check out all of the baked goods it has to offer – while also having ample room to sit and eat them. From custom cakes, to oven-baked focaccia, and an array of fresh pastries, there’s enough variety to please just about any appetite. They even offer some fresh samples for customers to try out, as well as complimentary coffee for patrons!
As mentioned on its web site, “Alfonso’s old techniques and traditions are being preserved by his two sons Vincent and Anthony Campitiello. They still maintain their fathers dream of baking delicious pastries and delivering exceptional customer service. The two brothers now specialize in the latest cake trends, but keep a classic elegance to each design. It is the warmth and traditions that keep the brothers in business, but the service and taste that keeps the customers coming back for more.”
