4th Annual Asbury Park Mardi Gras to feature mask making, happy hour, & masquerade ball on February 23rd

Mardi Gras isn’t just isolated to New Orleans. Oh no! You can experience something similar at the 4th annual Asbury Park Mardi Gras on Saturday, February 23rd, featuring a slew of fun events on tap throughout the day in-and-around Asbury Park.

We’re doing it again! Join us as we bring a New Orleans style party to New Jersey for the 4th year! You can create a festive mask, eat and drink at happy hour, then dance away your winter blues at our masquerade ball.

12:00-4:00 Free mask making for all ages:
Pick up your free, undecorated mask at Backward Glances, inside the Shoppes at the Arcade, 658 Cookman Avenue. Then visit participating businesses downtown to get free decorations to apply to your mask. Tables with glue will be set up at the Shoppes at the Arcade to design your own special Mardi Gras creation. This year we’re holding our best masks contest on social media. Stay tuned to details on how to enter for free and win fantastic prizes!

3:00-6:00 Mardi Gras happy hour at Taka:

5:30-9:30 The Masquerade Ball:
This year’s ball will be held at AP’s funkiest club, the Saint, 601 Main Street. Starring the VooDUDES with special guest. We’ll be crowning the King and Queen of the Ball in our costume contest, so plan your outfit to win the crown and wonderful prizes. $15 advance/$20 day of show. Tickets on sale at Backward Glances, the Saint, or on Ticketweb.

So spend the day and night in Asbury Park, and let the good times roll.

Tickets are now available for purchase online at $15 per person, or $20 on the day of the event. It’ll be held from 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM throughout different areas in Asbury Park.
