Runners in all sorts of costumes came out to tackle the 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland Run in Highlands [video]

Runners trekked out in the misty weather to participate in the 2nd annual Winter Wonderland Run held at Proving Ground Waterfront Dining in Highlands yesterday, December 15th! Dressed in a variety of festive attire, participants ran the fun run with Santa helping to lead them on through the streets of Highlands, NJ.

Winners were treated to prizes courtesy of the Highlands Business Partnership, a non-profit that “exists to undertake, direct, manage, facilitate and/or oversee recreational, educational and cultural activities, events and programs intended to promote the public welfare; the civic, educational, historic, cultural and economic, well being and vitality of community life within the Borough of Highlands, New Jersey.

Afterwards, participants retreated back to the Proving Ground, where they were treated with some complimentary drinks – along with some live music and pictures with Santa. We got the chance to interview Carla Cefalo, President of the Highlands Business Partnership, who explained the Winter Wonderland Run and some of her favorite parts about this year’s race.

As always, don’t forget to check out our photos below, as well as our video above that highlights all of the action and festivities of yesterday’s event!
