Our first visit to Teak’s rooftop & fundraising event coverage

Teak’s brand new rooftop area has been open for some time now, but our first time to check it out happened yesterday, when the restaurant hosted the Navesink Business Group’s fundraising event.

The event itself benefitted the Employment and Empowerment Team over at the JBJ Soul Kitchen, which works with volunteers to help them gain the experience to prepare for job interviews, writing resumes, and other essential skills for job searching. In total, the fundraising event managed to raise over $1500 for the non-profit community restaurant.

As for Teak’s rooftop, it’s definitely worth the trip to check out, mainly for its unique atmosphere and ambiance – something that has a loungy look and feel to it. Of course, don’t forget to check out our video to see what it’s all about!
